Dahua manufactures across the full security stack — cameras, access control, intercom, fire detection and the cloud management that ties them together. For us the value is coverage: a mine, an estate or an office park can be specified end to end from one range, which means fewer integration problems on site and one place to go when something needs support. We aggregate it into ASOP through published open APIs, so it reports alongside whatever else is already installed.

Dahua and Axis carry most of our camera and building-systems work. Dahua tends to win where the requirement is broad — a full estate covering cameras, intercom, access, lifts and fire from one manufacturer — and where budget has to stretch across a lot of positions without dropping to equipment our engineers would not put their name to. On the Kleinfontein deployment it runs across thermal, panoramic, active-deterrence and conventional units feeding a single control room. Two things they do particularly well. Their intrusion analytics are tuned to ignore what actually causes false alarms on a South African site — leaves, animals, changing light, rain — and their retrieval tooling means an incident can be found and exported while the client is still on the phone. Their perimeter line is also worth singling out: thermal units that ignore shrubs, rain, fog and small animals, paired with speakers and strobes so a detection produces an immediate response rather than a recording nobody watches until Monday. That recording still matters, though — clear footage of an intrusion is what turns a loss into a supportable insurance claim, which is an argument we find lands with finance directors more reliably than any technical one. The wider Dahua platform also extends into smart building and AIoT territory for residential communities, industrial parks and commercial complexes.
